wreath what you sow

Wreaths are such a chic and simple way to decorate your home, but wow... they can cost you an arm and a leg. However, making one yourself can cost MUCH less and you have FULL control of the outcome! Here are a couple wreaths I've made the last few months.

This pink feather boa wreath is great for Valentine's Day or adorable
for a baby shower! All you need is a styrofoam ring, 2-3 feathers boas
(I used 3 because my styrofoam ring was a larger size) and a staple gun.

I don't know about you, but this time of year does actually put a "spring"
in my step! The past couple of weeks I've been spring cleaning at my
house and this wreath helped me jump-start the process. I used a large,
sturdy wreath made of twigs and branches. Then gathered some floral
decoration in pinks, yellows and greens. All you need to do is place and
wrap your accessories to the wreath and secure with either floral wire
or hot glue! (Don't be afraid to trim your flowers for easier placement.)
See if you can spot our precious friends we've named Bumble & Honey!

oh my goodness, you're so creative! the feather wreath is SO cute – would probably be even cuter in a shade of baby blue:)!

Your feather boa wreath is so stinking cute! I've linked to it on my VDay round-up, and I will be making one (or 5) this year! :)

Aloha,
Charlie

How are you using the boa, are you wrapping the boa around the ring? Is the ring flat or tubular? I really like the idea, thanks.

Thank you Charlie!

And yes I did wrap the boa around the wreath (I used three boas from Hobby Lobby so it looked really full). This particular one was flat I think either would work. Thanks for stopping by!

I would love to incorporate these boa wreaths into my wedding reception centerpiece decor, maybe putting a hurricane with candle in the middle. Did you staple the boa to the styrofoam wreath?

Yes, that sounds like a great idea! I used the flat, styrofoam wreath and stapled the boas on the back. Good luck!

You have inspired me - I have some small snowflake ornaments. I am going to use a white boa and glue the ornaments to it and have a wreath for January!

What a wonderful idea for Breast cancer Awareness month (Oct). The feathers make it look so much better. I would glue items related to Breast Cancer on it..

Think I will try the boa wreath and add some Easter accessories.
